Story: The legend of St George (Extract)
The princess had already been taken to the dragon and St George leapt on his horse and rode out onto the lagoon. He found the princess still alive waiting her fate just by the banks of lagoon. Just then the dragon emerged, bright green in colours with a long serpent like neck and with very sharp teeth.
Saint George made the sign of the cross and charged it on horseback, seriously wounding it with his lance. He then called the princess to throw him her scarf which he tied around the dragon's neck.
The village was in uproar as they entered the village square, the dragon on a leash St George leading the dragon on a ribbon.
