Story: The Legend of St. Patrick (Extract)
The man's name was Patrick and he had been stolen from his parents and had been brought to Ireland and worked as a shepherd on Irish hillsides. He had managed to escape, became a priest and travelled many lands but couldn't forget Ireland. He had travelled back to Ireland to teach them about Jesus and how to be Christians. He told them about the life of Jesus from beginning to end. The king allowed Patrick to speak more and listened attentively. He found these teachings were so different from the magical beliefs of his kingdom. The king allowed the men to stay alive another day so that they could tell them a little bit more about this new religion of theirs.
