They will watch the comedy show put on by the clown fish and find out amazing facts lots of other creatures under the sea! They will witness a food chain in action finally take part in a big protest to protect our oceans and the creatures living in it!

Number of children: A script for 30 children but can be edited to accommodate for more or less.

Narrator
Let's go for a dip in the sea today
Let the tide and waves take us away!
We could have fish and chips by the shore
And have an ice cream if we fancy more.
(Children come on stage and take their positions on the stage)
Child 1
I love the seaside! Let's see what all these people are doing!
Child 2
We are playing in the shallow water! Splashing and having fun!
Child 3
Look out for stinging jellyfish lurking in the water!
Child
I think I have just been stung!
Child
We are looking for shells. This one has tiny creature in it. Look!
Children
I thought they were empty! (All gather around)
Child
Even above the sea there is a big food hunt!
(Children in turn read the lines below)
Dolphins hunt for squid
Gannets dip down for fish
Puffins look for food in tiny rabbit holes
Seals moving around looking for food
Narrator
But have you ever wondered what's below
The waves that move you to and fro?

There are just here swimming beside the anemones.
Let's meet our resident comedians. Here are the clown fish!
Clown fish 1
Hey what's going on here? If this is some kind of practical joke, it not funny. And I know funny. I am a clown fish!

I am funnier than you! Why did the turtle cross the ocean?

Some amazing creatures galore
Extract 3
Narrator
All living things needs food to live and grow. They all get energy from the food that they eat. Plants make their own food so they don't have to eat to get energy.
Narrator
The sun shines on the ocean plants and so they begin to grow!
Diver 1
Here come the tiny shrimps and krill.
Shrimps
Hey guys! Look at these plants! I am hungry! (Rubbing their tummies)
Diver 2
They eat these plants and have their fill! Watch out shrimps! Here come a shoal of small fish!
(The small fish swim by in a shoal and gobble up the tiny shrimps and krill! Chase them off and then face the audience rubbing their tummy)
Diver 3
Oh no small fish! Look out! Here comes the mackerel! They are looking for a delicious supper!
Small fish
(Together) Let's run for it!
Diver 1
Unfortunately, the tuna fish's favourite meal is the mackerel so watch out mackerel!
Tuna Fish
I smell some mackerel! Let's head this way!
(Tuna fish chase the mackerel off and then face the audience rubbing their tummy)
Diver 2
The shark is looming close. It is hungry. It is very, very hungry and it is looking for a tuna treat!
(Chase them off and then face the audience rubbing their tummy)
Shark
We are the largest fish, nothing else eats us so we are at top of the ocean food chain
Diver 3
Let's go to the tropical waters
