Narrator 7
The Saxons were German-Dutch, the Angles were Danish and the Jutes were Northern Danish.
Narrator 8
These tribes are commonly known today as the Anglo-Saxons, and they had settled in 'Angle-land,' or England, by AD 450. The Anglo-Saxons were not all one-big happy family. Disputes existed between tribes and they settled in different parts of Britain.
Narrator 10
So why did they leave their homes?
Narrator 1
Some historians believe these tribes left their homes due to rising flood waters, and went in search of better land to live off.
Narrator 2
What was life like for the Anglo-Saxons? What did they do?
Narrator 3
(touching ear, as if speaking to a producer) Well, luckily for you lot, using our special time-travel technology, we can now head to Wareham, in Dorest, where our camera crews are out-and-about, ready to speak to the Anglo-Saxon community there.
