Within this class assembly, audiences will learn all about the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings. We look at: where they came from; why they came; what their daily routines were like; why they fought and how Britain was divided as a result. With speaking roles for 16 children, and non-speaking roles for any additional children, this assembly is both inclusive and engaging.

These tribes are commonly known today as the Anglo-Saxons, and they had settled in 'Angle-land,' or England, by AD 450. The Anglo-Saxons were not all one-big happy family. Disputes existed between tribes and they settled in different parts of Britain.

Some historians believe these tribes left their homes due to rising flood waters, and went in search of better land to live off.
